Ryotaro Okiayu Leaves Hospital After Successful Gallbladder Surgery

Voice actor Ryōtarō Okiayu posted on his Twitter account on Saturday that he has left the hospital after a successful cholecystectomy (surgical removal of the gallbladder). His surgery took place on August 7. Okiayu added that he is still taking painkillers as of Saturday.
Okiayu's many anime roles include the title character in Toriko, Berserker in Fate/Zero, Byakuya Kuchiki in Bleach, Hisashi Mitsui in Slam Dunk, Vlad III/Lancer of Black in Fate/Apocrypha, Aoyama in Clean Freak! Aoyama kun, Satsuma Kadonoōji in ACTORS: Songs Connection, Kunimitsu Tezuka in The Prince of Tennis, Andrew Waltfeld in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Dark Mousy in D.N.Angel, Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tybalt in Romeo X Juliet, Akio Furukawa in Clannad, and Izana Langford in The Price of Smiles.
Okiayu is married to voice actress Ai Maeda.
