posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Sega revealed on Monday that it is developing the Hokuto no Ken LEGENDS ReVIVE smartphone game for the Fist of the North Star franchise. Sega plans to officially launch the role-playing game this year.
The game is commemorating that last year was the 35th anniversary of the original manga. Original artist Tetsuo Hara is supervising the project. Hara stated the game will not just feature famous characters from the manga, but will also include some "unexpected" minor characters from the series.
Sega is hosting an early test for the game from June 12-21, and is accepting applications for players through June 6.
The most recent game in the franchise, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio's Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise PlayStation 4 game, launched in Japan in February 2018 and in North America and Europe on October 2.
