Detective Conan Manga Takes 1-Month Break
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
This year's 15th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced on Wednesday that Gōshō Aoyama's Detective Conan manga will take a one-month hiatus, starting with the magazine's next issue and continuing through the 18th issue. Aoyama will conduct research during the hiatus. The manga will resume in the magazine's 19th issue on April 10.
The manga recently returned from a four-week hiatus that began on January 16 and ended on February 13. Aoyama also conducted research during that hiatus.
Weekly Shonen Sunday previously noted that Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time (Detective Conan: Zero's Tea Time), the spinoff manga series by Takahiro Arai centering on the character Tōru Amuro, will have new chapters when the main Detective Conan manga is on hiatus, and will not publish chapters of the manga otherwise.
Arai (Tenshō no Quadrable, Cirque du Freak) launched the Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday last May. Aoyama has "complete supervision" over the work.
