Anime Boston to Host Musician Miyavi

Anime Boston announced on Thursday that it will host musician and actor MIYAVI at this year's event. MIYAVI will perform live at a special evening concert at the convention on April 19.
MIYAVI's collaboration album Samurai Sessions Vol. 3: Worlds Collide shipped in December, and he has previously released 12 studio albums. MIYAVI joined the group S.K.I.N with Gackt, Sugizo, and YOSHIKI four years into his career. He released his self-titled album in 2013, and it ranked at #8 on the Oricon chart.
As an actor, MIYAVI has appeared films such as Unbroken and Kong: Skull Island. He has roles in the 2019 films Stray and Maleficent 2.
MIYAVI also played Byakuya Kuchiki in the live-action Bleach film, Amily in the live-action Garo: Kaminokiba, and Tomoya Adachi in the live-action Gangoose film. All three films opened in 2018.
This year's Anime Boston will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from April 19-21. The first Japanese guest announced for this year's event was composer Yoko Shimomura. The City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes anime film's chief director Kenji Kodama, producer Naohiro Ogata, and scriptwriter Yoichi Kato will also attend.
