Elex Media Licenses Black Cover Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga launched in 2015, inspired ongoing television anime

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced last Friday that it has licensed Yūki Tabata's Black Clover manga.

Viz Media publishes the manga in North America, and it describes the series:

SHONEN JUMP's breakaway hit of 2015, a fantasy action-adventure about mastering magical powers. Asta is a young boy who dreams of becoming the greatest mage in the kingdom. Only one problem – he can't use any magic! Luckily for Asta, he receives the incredibly rare five-leaf clover grimoire that gives him the power of anti-magic. Can someone who can't use magic really become the Wizard King? One thing's for sure – Asta will never give up!

Tabata launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. Shueisha published the manga's 19th compiled book volume on January 4.

A television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in October 2017, and is currently airing. The anime was originally listed with 51 episodes, but the anime continued into a new season with episode 52 last October.
