Ultraman Franchise Gets Compilation Series in January

TV Tokyo revealed a new series on Thursday for the Ultraman franchise titled Ultraman New Generation Chronicle. The series will premiere on January 5, and will show famous episodes and parts from series and films in the franchise from the 2013 Ultraman Ginga series to the latest Ultraman R/B series.
Miina Tominaga will again play the character Booska from Ultraman R/B, while Megumi Han will reprise her role as Pega from Ultraman Geed. Both will serve as "navigators" for the series. Tatsuomi Hamada, who played protagonist Riku Asakura in Ultraman Geed, will have guest appearances in select episodes.
Ultraman R/B premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on July 7, and will have 25 episodes. The series will also have a film titled Gekijōban Ultraman R/B Select! Kizuna no Crystal (Ultraman R/B The Movie Select! The Crystal of Bonds) that will open in Japan on March 8.
Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's Ultraman manga is also inspiring an upcoming anime that will premiere on April 1.
