posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The December issue of Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Young Champion magazine revealed on Tuesday that manga creator Shiori Amase will launch a new manga titled Matsukage ni Ikō (Rest in Matsukage) in the magazine's next issue on December 4. The manga will have a color opening page, and a 33-page first chapter.
The historical manga will center on Yoshida Shōin, who was mentor for many of the Meiji Restoration's influential figures, including Itō Hirobumi.
Amase launched her All Out!! manga in Kodansha's Morning two magazine in 2012, and Kodansha published the 14th compiled volume (seen right) on May 23. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga digitally.
The series inspired a television anime that premiered in October 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with English subtitles, and Funimation streamed an English dub. Funimation released the series on two Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes in February and May.
