Former nano.RIPE Member Yūki Aoyama Passes Away at 29

The official Twitter account for the nano.RIPE rock band announced on Monday that former member Yūki Aoyama passed away on August 21 due to acute heart failure. He was 29.
At the request of Aoyama's relatives, the funeral will be for close relatives only. nano.RIPE will reveal more details about an October farewell event on the homepage for Bandai Namco Arts at a later date.
nano.RIPE formed in 1998, and released their first indie single in 2004. Aoyama was a member of the band from March 2013 through December 2016 as the group's drummer. The band currently is made up of vocalist and guitarist Kimiko and guitarist Jun Sasaki. Bassist Nobuyuki Abe also left in 2016 at the same time as Aoyama.
Between 2013 and 2016, nano.RIPE released seven singles and four albums. During that time, the group contributed theme songs to The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Food Wars! The Second Plate, GLASSLIP, Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home, Non Non Biyori, Non Non Biyori Repeat, and Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle anime.
Aoyama's father was the drummer Jun Aoyama, who passed away in 2013. His brother Hideki Aoyama is also a drummer who has worked as a support drummer for such groups as JAM Project, Babymetal, and KAT-TUN.
