Katsuki Izumi's Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desu ka? (Club Activities, Is It No Good If You Don't Like Them?) manga is inspiring a live-action television series. Idol group King & Prince members Kaito Takahashi, Yūta Jingūji, and Genki Iwahashi will star in the adaptation. The series will debut on NTV on October 22 at 24:59 (effectively October 23 at 12:59 a.m.).
The manga's slice-of-life comedy story centers on high school boys who mistakenly hope to be popular after joining club activities. Though they don't have real interest, they carelessly join a sports-oriented club at school.
Tsuyoshi Nakakuki and Masanori Matsuyama are directing the series, and Takuya Katō is writing the script. Takahiro Obata is composing the music. King & Prince is performing the theme song "Memorial."
Izumi's manga series ran in Square Enix's Gangan Online web manga magazine from May 2016 to March 2017. The second and final compiled book volume shipped in May 2017. Square Enix will release a new single-volume edition of the series on October 10.
