Manga creator Yoshiaki Sukeno revealed on Twitter on Sunday that he will launch a manga series adaptation of the Sōsei no Onmyōji -Tenen Jakko- (Twin Star Exorcists - Young Tiger Bound by Heaven's Will) spinoff novel in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website. The manga series will launch on September 3. The site uploaded an earlier prologue manga, which was included in the original novel, on Monday. Sukeno drew the below illustration for the manga.
The novel (seen right), written by Hajime Tanaka, is a spinoff of Sukeno's Twin Star Exorcists manga, and focuses on Seigen and Yukari. The novel shipped in Japan in August 2016. Tanaka wrote a second novel titled Sōsei no Onmyōji -Shiga Kenbyaku-, which focuses on Mayura and Shimon. The novel shipped in March 2017.
Sukeno launched the original manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine in November 2013. Shueisha published the manga's 15th compiled book volume on June 4. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English, and it shipped the 12th volume on May 1.
The manga's television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in April 2016 and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. Crunchyroll and Funimation is releasing the series on Blu-ray and DVD with an English dub, and the first combo pack shipped on July 24.
