posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Nippon Ichi Software announced at a 25th anniversary event on Sunday that it is working with ForwardWorks to develop a tentatively titled Makai Senki Disgaea smartphone game. The basic game will be free to play, with some charges inside the app. Kaori Mizuhashi, the voice of Laharl in the franchise, appears at the start of the video. When asked what Disgaea means to her, she replies that it robs you of your time.
The video highlights the characters Flonne and Rozalin. The end of the video teases that Seraphina's turn is next.
The game's second teaser video will debut at the "Zentai" event on August 4-5.
Nippon Ichi Software will release Disgaea 1 Complete (Makai Senki Disgaea Refine), the HD remake of the first game in the series, for the PlayStation 4 and Switch in Japan on July 26. This year marks the original game's 15th anniversary; the original game shipped for PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2003. NIS America will release the game for PS4 and Switch in North America on October 9 and in Europe on October 12.
NIS America will release the Disgaea 5 Complete game for the PC via Steam this summer after a delay from its original May 7 release date.
