Lupin III: Part IV Anime Returns to Toonami on June 2

Show replaces Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex in 3:30 a.m. timeslot

The official Facebook page of Adult Swim's Toonami block announced on Saturday that the Lupin III: Part IV anime will return to the block on June 2 at 3:30 a.m. The show is replacing Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

The anime premiered on the block in June 2017 with an English dub. Discotek Media will release the series on Blu-ray Disc on June 26.

The full Toonami lineup starting on June 2 includes:

10:30 p.m. – Dragon Ball Super
11:00 p.m. – Dragon Ball Z Kai
11:30 p.m. – My Hero Academia
12:00 a.m. – FLCL Progressive
12:30 a.m. – JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
1:00 a.m. – Hunter x Hunter
1:30 a.m. – Black Clover
2:00 a.m. – Naruto Shippūden
2:30 a.m. – Space Dandy
3:00 a.m. – Cowboy Bebop
3:30 a.m. – Lupin III: Part IV

Richard Epcar, the voice of Daisuke Jigen from Lupin III: Part II, returned to direct the English dub of Lupin III: Part IV along with Ellyn Stern. Tony Oliver (Arsene Lupin III), Lex Lang (Goemon Ishikawa), and Michelle Ruff (Fujiko Mine) also returned from Part II. Doug Erholtz replaced Jake Martin as Zenigata.

Lupin III: Part IV, the first Lupin III television anime series in three decades to star the titular character, premiered in Japan in October 2015, after first premiering as Lupin III - L'avventura Italiana on Italian television in August 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the series beginning in January 2016.

The story of the series takes place in Italy and San Marino, and it features a blue-jacketed Lupin in his 20s. The series opens with an invitation to Lupin's wedding to a new character named Rebecca (played by Yukiyo Fujii in the Japanese version).
