Kyuranger vs. Space Squad Film's Trailer Reveals Addition of Shaider, Jiraiya Characters

The official website of the Uchū Sentai Kyuranger vs. Space Squad film began streaming a trailer for the film on Saturday. The video reveals that Space Sheriff Shaider and Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya will join the characters from the Metal Hero series that will appear in the film.
The film is a crossover between Toei's Uchū Sentai Kyuranger series and characters from the Metal Hero franchise.
The Super Sentai and Metal Hero tokusatsu franchises previously crossed over in the Space Squad films, both of which debuted in June last year. As with those previous films, Kōichi Sakamoto will direct this new film.
The film opens in Japan on June 30, with a Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on August 8.
Toei and TV Asahi's Uchū Sentai Kyūranger series, the 41st Super Sentai series, premiered in February 2017. The series has a theme of "space" and "constellations," and for the first time features a nine-member hero squad. The story features an evil organization called "Jark Matter" who rule the universe in the far distant future. The nine "Kyūtama" transformation items that harness the power of the constellations choose nine heroes to become the Kyūrangers and save the universe. Each member is an alien from a different constellation, and include not only human-type aliens but also android-type and werewolf-type aliens.
