The game is a PS4 version of Vanillaware's Dragon's Crown game, and it launched in Japan on February 8. The new game supports 4K resolution and has a re-recorded fully orchestral soundtrack. In addition, Dragon's Crown Pro is cross-play compatible with the original Dragon's Crown PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games.
Vanillaware and Atlus released the original "2D action RPG" in Japan in July 2013 and in North America in August 2013.
Udon Entertainment licensed yuztan's manga adaptation of the game and shipped the first volume in November.
