The Nintendo Direct Mini presentation and the official PlayStation Blog announced the Dark Souls: Remastered game on Thursday. The game will ship for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on May 25. Nintendo and Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Europe began streaming an announcement trailer for the game.
The HD remaster will include the main game and the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Players will be able to build their own characters with many weaponry, armor, magic, and crafting options. Players will be able to team up or fight against each other in groups up to six people among nine covenants online with dedicated servers.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dark Souls III game in Japan on March 24, and it launched in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12. The game set Bandai Namco Entertainment's record for most successful day-one sales, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America's record for fastest-selling game.
