Crunchyroll Streams Working Buddies!, Sanrio Boys Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the Sanrio Boys (Sanrio Danshi) and Working Buddies! Hataraku Oniisan! television anime series.
Crunchyroll will stream Sanrio Boys starting on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. EST. The anime will be available worldwide outside of Asia. The anime will premiere in Japan on January 6.
The project's premise follows Kōta Hasegawa, a high school boy who loves the yellow Pom Pom Purin dog. By mere coincidence, he ends up attending the same school as Yū Mizuno, a boy who likes the bunny My Melody. Yū tells Kōta that there's nothing to be ashamed of for liking Sanrio's cute characters. Together, Kōta, Yū, Shunsuke Yoshino, Ryō Nishimiya, and Seiichiro Minamoto learn to accept their love of the characters instead of feeling embarrassed.
Crunchyroll is streaming Working Buddies! worldwide outside of Asia, and the first episode is available now. The series of five-minute anime shorts premiered in Japan on Friday. The story centers around the cheerful orange tabby cat Tapio Chatorazawa and the pessimistic Russian blue Kuehiko Roshihara. The two study in the same college, and also work together on various odd jobs.
Yoshiki Usa (Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life) is credited as the original creator. Tomoya Takashima (Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories, Kagewani) is directing the anime at Tomovies. Hiromu Kumamoto, who also worked on Takashima's previous two anime, is the scriptwriter for the anime. Haruka Oda is the character designer. R.O.N is composing the music.
Crunchyroll also announced that its planned stream of the Slow Start anime will premiere on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EST. Aniplex of America had previously announced last month that Crunchyroll would premiere the series on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. EST. The anime will be available for viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Crunchyroll also announced that its planned stream of the Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san anime will premiere on January 8 at 11:30 a.m. EST. Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide outside of Asia.
The site also reaffirmed that it will stream the IDOLiSH7 anime starting with the third episode on January 7 at 10:30 a.m. EST. The anime will be available worldwide outside of Asia. The first two episodes of the series are available now on Crunchyroll.
