Malaysia's Comic Fiesta Hosts The Ancient Magus' Bride's Kore Yamazaki

Kuala Lumpur's Comic Fiesta convention announced on Wednesday that the convention will host manga creator Kore Yamazaki as a guest in collaboration with Southeast Asian anime channel Aniplus-Asia.
Yamazaki is best known for her The Ancient Magus' Bride manga. She launched the manga in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in November 2013, and transferred it to Monthly Comic Garden in September 2014, after the magazine ceased publication. Mag Garden published the manga's eighth compiled book volume on September 8. The manga has 5 million copies in print.
The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that premiered in Japan on October 7, and Aniplus-Asia is airing the series as it airs in Japan. The manga also inspired a prequel OVA series titled The Ancient Magus' Bride: Those Awaiting a Star. The OVA's three episodes debuted in August 2016, February 2017, and August 2017.
Yamazaki is also drawing a separate manga titled Frau Faust, which she launched in Kodansha's ITAN magazine in 2014. Kodansha published the manga's fourth volume on June 7.
The convention will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 16-17.
