posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Video game developer Arc System Works announced on Thursday that it has established a North American branch called Arc System Works America, Inc. in Torrance, California. The company stated that it established the branch "in order to expand its operations and offerings to fans in the region."
The new branch plans to "publish, market, promote, and support Arc System Works games and products" in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The subsidiary also plans to localize, license, and develop new partnerships with companies in the region.
President Minoru Kidooka will serve as the CEO of the subsidiary company. Kidooka stated that while Arc System Works partnered with North American companies in the past to release its games in North America, "with our new branch 'Arc System Works America, Inc.' we will better be able to open the channels of communication between fan and developer, ensuring your voices are heard and most importantly applied."
Arc System Works develops both the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighting game franchises. The company is currently developing the Dragon Ball FighterZ fighting game, the Blazblue Cross Tag Battle crossover fighting game, and the World End Syndrome love-adventure game.
