Hong Kong film distributor Neofilms announced on Wednesday that it will screen Makoto Shinkai's your name. film at the MCL Cinemas Telford on November 11. The screening celebrates the one-year anniversary of the film's screening in Hong Kong.
The film opened in Japan in August 2016, and has become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time in Japan, the second highest-grossing Japanese film, and the second highest-grossing anime film.
The film topped the Hong Kong box-office last year, and it earned HK$6,149,917 (about US$792,806) in three days. The movie also earned box-office achievements in South Korea, China, Thailand, and Taiwan. Box Office Mojo estimates the film's worldwide total at US$355,298,270 as of July 27.
Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions are producing a live-action Hollywood adaptation of the film.
