Animax Asia revealed on Saturday that it will air a simulcast of both the Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World (Kino no Tabi - the Beautiful World- the Animated Series) anime and UQ Holder! Magister Negi Magi! 2. The company is streaming English-subtitled trailers for both series.
The simulcast for Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World will premiere on Saturday, October 7 at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8.
The series is the newest television anime adaptation of Keiichi Sigsawa's Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World light novels. The anime will premiere on AT-X on October 6 at 10:00 p.m., and will then air later in the evening on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11.
Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 4 the Golden Animation, Persona 3 the Movie #4 Winter of Rebirth, Twin Star Exorcists) is directing the anime at Lerche. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, Hina Logi: from Luck & Logic) is in charge of series scripts. Ryoko Amisaki (Sumomomo Momomo - Chijō Saikyō no Yome, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc) is adapting Kouhaku Kuroboshi's original character designs for animation. EGG FIRM is credited for production.
Nagi Yanagi (A Lull in the Sea, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Bakemonogatari) performs the opening theme song "here and there" and the anime's ending theme song.
The story follows the travels of Kino, a young adventurer who rides a talking motorcycle named Hermes. They explore the people and cultures of different places throughout their adventures, spending only three days at each location.
Sigsawa began serializing Kino's Journey in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki HP in 2000, and Kadokawa shipped the 20th volume in October 2016, and the 21st volume is slated to ship on October 7. The novel inspired a 13-episode anime in 2003, and movies premiered in 2005 and 2007.
The simulcast for UQ Holder! Magister Negi Magi! 2 will premiere on Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8.
The anime adapts Ken Akamatsu's UQ Holder! (UQ Holder! Magister Negi Magi! 2) manga. The story is set in the world of Akamatsu's previous Negima! Magister Negi Magi manga, and takes place years after the earlier manga. The story centers on a boy named Touta who dreams of leaving his small town and moving to the city. However, he must first defeat his teacher, the immortal Evangeline.
Youhei Suzuki (Urara Meirochō, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Akamatsu himself is in charge of the series scripts alongside Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Alderamin on the Sky). Masahiro Fujii (Hayate the Combat Butler, The Familiar of Zero) is designing the characters, and EGG FIRM is producing the series.
