Koei Tecmo Games revealed during the Tokyo Game Show event on Thursday that Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation, the newest installment for its Dead or Alive Xtreme game series, will get a new character named Misaki. Minami Tsuda will voice the character. The character is described as a girl who moved to the Venus archipelago, and is the exclusive support character.
Koei Tecmo Games began streaming an image trailer for the game on September 14.
The game will be a browser game for PC slated for this year. The game will be free to play, but players can use in-game currency to purchase items.
Koei Tecmo Games released the previous installment in the series in two versions. The game's PS Vita version is titled Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus, and the PS4 version is titled Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune. Koei Tecmo Games published the game exclusively in Japan and Asia for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on March 2016. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune received an update for VR support in January.
Tecmo released the Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball game on the Xbox in North America, Japan, and Europe in 2003. In the game, players play as one of the women from the Dead or Alive fighting game series and partake in volleyball matches as well as other beach-related minigames and shopping. Tecmo released a sequel, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, on the Xbox 360 in North America, Japan, and Europe in 2006.
