CyberConnect2 Produces 'A5' Original Anime Project

.hack game company previously animated .hack//The Movie

CyberConnect2 announced during the Anitsuku event on Sunday that it is producing an original anime project code-named "A5." The project's title stands for "Astonishing, Ambitious, Advanced, Amazing, Animation." While CyberConnect2 sai, the company's animation department, previously animated the .hack//The Movie anime alongside Anima, CyberConnect2's president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama stated that the new project is not related to .hack, and will be its first completely original anime.

CyberConnect2 was founded in 1996, and has since developed games in the .hack series, and Naruto fighting game series. The company is currently a developing a new game code-named "Project Venom." CyberConnect2 is also currently working on .hack//G.U. Last Recode, an HD remaster of the .hack//G.U. game for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is slated for November 1 in Japan and November 3 in North America.
