Frontwing Launches Kickstarter for Wonderful Everyday Visual Novel
posted on by Karen Ressler
Frontwing launched its Kickstarter campaign to fund a physical release for Wonderful Everyday ~Diskontinuierliches Dasein~, the English-language version of KeroQ's Subarashiki Hibi: Furenzoku Sonzai visual novel, on Wednesday. The campaign is seeking to raise US$80,000 by August 27.
The campaign also has two stretch goals: US$120,000 will fund an English translation of the Wonderful Everyday artbook and US$180,000 will fund a new Short Game in the same world. Backer rewards include the artbook (in Japanese if the stretch goal is not met), the original soundtrack, canvas art, drink tumblers, tapestries, dakimakura covers, a replica of Hasaki's stuffed rabbit, apparel, and personalized art.
Frontwing initially planned to launch the Kickstarter last month, but it was delayed.
The company describes the game:
“Wonderful Everyday” is an adult-oriented visual novel, produced and written by SCA-DI, which features dark themes and heavy philosophical explorations. The story follows the lives of Yuki Minakami, Zakuro Takashima, Takuji Mamiya, and others, during the weeks leading up to a significant event in all of their lives. The English release of “Wonderful Everyday” is hotly anticipated, and the original Japanese “Subarashiki Hibi” consistently ranks among the top titles on visual novel databases and ranking sites.
Frontwing will release the localized version of the game's first chapter, titled "Down the Rabbit-Hole," in late August via Steam for US$29.99. Frontwing will then make the game's remaining content available via a separate adult content patch, which expands the release to the full game at no additional cost.
