Nintendo revealed a new video for Level-5's Lady Layton game during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday. The video reveals that the game's title has change to Layton Mystery Journey: Katriel to Daifugō no Inbō (Layton Mystery Journey: Katriel and the Millionaire's Conspiracy). The video also reveals the game's July 20 release date in Japan.
The game, originally titled Lady Layton: Fugō-ō Ariadne no Inbō (Lady Layton: Millionaire King Ariadne's Conspiracy), will ship for the Nintendo 3DS, as well as Android and iOS devices.
The game will have a new protagonist: Professor Layton's daughter Katriel Layton. The story is set in London, where she will solve any incident, from missing cats to murder cases. Her initial purpose, however, was to look for her father, who has disappeared. Her assistant is a talking dog named Sharo.
The cast includes: (name romanizations not final)
Kazumi Arimura as Katriel
Kōji Yakusho as Sharo
Meisa Kuroki as Geraldine
Kentarō Sakaguchi as Noah
Kuniaki Iwanami is designing the game's puzzles, replacing late puzzle master Akira Tago.
An as-yet unspecified female artist will perform theme song.
