Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on Monday that it has moved up the release date for its Dragon Ball Fusions Nintendo 3DS game from December 13 to November 22. The February release date for Europe remains the same. The role-playing game shipped in Japan on August 4.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the original Western release dates with a trailer in September:
An earlier issue of Weekly Shonen Jump had described the game as follows:
You (the protagonist) and Pinijji wish for Shenron to start the greatest and strongest martial arts tournament. He grants your wish, and the "Jikūichi Budōkai" (Number 1 in Time Space Martial Arts Tournament) begins!
Naomi Shindoh voices Pinijji in the game. The game puts a large focus on fusion characters. By using a Capsule Corp-made bracelet, new fusions called "EX Fusions" have become possible. New fusions include Karoly (Kakarot (Goku) x Broly; spelled the same way as "calorie" in Japanese), Gorillin (young Goku x Krillin), Krigohan (Gohan x Krillin; a pun on the word chestnut rice), and Prillin (Piccolo x Krillin).
A manga adaptation of the game debuted in Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine on April 1.
