The Amnesia musical's script writer Guiya Ōta is writing the script, and the Hetalia~Singin' in the World~ musical's script writer Yūsei Naruse is producing the play at Office Inveider. Both are returning from the play's original run.
The play will run at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel's Club eX event hall in Tokyo from August 24-28. Several ticket services will begin selling advance tickets this month, and regular ticket sales will start on July 10. Arena seat tickets with exclusive goods will cost 8,600 yen (about US$80), first-floor box seats will cost 6,800 yen (US$64), and second-floor balcony seats will cost 5,800 yen (US$54).
The Diabolik Lovers stage play originally ran at the Rikkōkai Theater in Tokyo's Shinagawa ward last August.
Rejet's original Diabolik Lovers vampire drama CD and PSP game project centers around the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers. Yui Komori is a positive-thinking girl who nevertheless is troubled by seeing spirits and experiencing poltergeist phenomena. In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school — a night school for entertainers and celebrities — due to her father's work. There are rumors that there are vampires among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers.
The studio ZEXCS adapted the franchise into a television anime in 2013, and the second season premiered last September. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released the anime on DVD with an English dub and subtitles in 2014, and on Blu-ray Disc in 2015. The company also licensed the second season.
