Android/iOS game slated to release "in all major English markets" by end of 2016
FUNimation Entertainment announced on Thursday that it is working with its Group 1200 sister company GameSamba, the Chinese game developer NGames Interactive, and the Japanese publisher Kodansha on a mobile game based on the Attack on Titan manga and anime franchise.
The companies plan to release the game on Android and iOS devices "in all major English markets" by the end of this year.
Funimation describes the game:
The “Attack on Titan” game will be an action-driven title, allowing players all over the world to battle titans on their mobile devices. It will combine elements of runner and action games, in order to replicate the feeling of the titan battles from the anime series. Players will need to use careful planning – and quick reactions – to survive.
Funimation, GameSamba, and NGames Interactive announced their strategic partnership to create mobile and web games in January, and they are also collaborating on a Tokyo Ghoul and Fairy Tail mobile game, as well as a separate, free-to-play Fairy Tail online game.
