Singaporean film distributor Odex announced last Friday that it is planning to open the Yowamushi Pedal anime film in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines in December to January. The film already opened in Singapore on Thursday.

In addition, Odex will open the live-action Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!) and Heroine Shikkaku (No Longer Heroine) films in the same countries between January and February. The company also revealed plans to distribute the 13th One Piece film, the Detective Conan: Junkoku no Nightmare film, the third Initial D film, the Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki film, and the 36th Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016 film in 2016.

The Gekijōban Yowamushi Pedal (Yowamushi Pedal: The Movie) film based on Wataru Watanabe's cycling manga opened in Japan on August 28. Austrailian distributor Madman Entertainment previously streamed an English-subtitled trailer for the film.

Watanabe wrote the new story for the film:

[Highlight white text to read spoilers for the earlier manga and television anime] After winning the fierce Inter High race, Sakamichi and the other Sōhoku team members receive an invitation to compete in the Kumamoto Hi Province Mountain Range Race toward the end of summer. The top-tier teams from around the country compete in this race, including Sōhoku's rivals Hakone Academy (which yearns to take down Sōhoku), Kyoto Fushimi, and Hiroshima Kureminami — as well as Kumamoto Daiichi High School's team led by Shin Yoshimoto.

The live-action My Love Story!! film based on Kazune Kawahara and Aruko's romantic comedy manga opened on October 31, debuting at #3 in the Japanese box office in its opening weekend.

The film's official website previously streamed a teaser for the film.

The live-action No Longer Heroine film based on Momoko Kōda's romantic comedy manga opened in Japan on September 19, debuting at #2 in the Japanese box office on its opening weekend. The film's official website previously streamed a trailer for the film.

The romantic comedy centers around a high school girl named Hatori Matsuzaki, who firmly believes that she has to marry her childhood friend Rita Terasaka someday. Kōsuke Hiromitsu, the most popular boy in school, completes the love triangle.
