Love Live!'s 'HEART to HEART' Single Sells 69,633, Ranks 3rd

October 28 single's title track debuted in School Idol Festival game on October 15

"Love Live! School Idol Festival Collaboration Single HEART to HEART," the October 28 single of the Love Live! anime franchise, sold 69,633 copies in its debut week, and ranked third on Oricon's weekly singles chart for the October 26-November 1 week.

The single is a collaboration with the Love Live! School Idol Festival smartphone game, and the single's title track, "HEART to HEART," debuted in the game as a playable song on October 15. Aside from the title track, the single also contains the track "Arashi no Naka no Koi dakara" (Because It's a Love in the Middle of a Storm), as well as the instrumental versions of both tracks.

The members of the franchise's nine-girl idol group μ's performed the songs. Nishioka Kazuya composed and arranged "HEART to HEART," while Sakai Yoichi composed "Arashi no Naka no Koi dakara." Hata Aki wrote the lyrics for both songs.

Lantis is currently streaming a preview of both tracks in the single.

Bushiroad released its Love Live! School Idol Festival smartphone game in Japan in April 2013. Bushiroad and KLab America released an English language version of the game worldwide in May 2014. The game contains elements of collectible card games, rhythm games, and visual novels. As of September 6, the game had 12 million users in Japan. As of June 6, the game had more than 15 million users worldwide.

The Love Live! franchise has inspired two television anime series, and an anime film. The film premiered in Japan on June 13 and in the United States on September 11. The franchise also includes manga, CDs, books, card games, radio performances, and live events.
