Street Fighter V Adds Karin to Roster

The official U.S. PlayStation blog unveiled a trailer for Street Fighter V during Tokyo Game Show 2015 on Thursday revealing that Karin Kanzuki will join the playable character roster of the game.
Karin debuted in the series with CAPCOM's 1998 Street Fighter Alpha 3 game, as a rival to Sakura. Her only other fighting game appearance was on CAPCOM's 2004 CAPCOM Fighting Jam.
Other playable characters thus far include Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Nash, M. Bison, Cammy, Birdie, Vega, Necalli, Rainbow Mika, and Rashid. The game will launch with a core of 16 playable characters—four of which are brand new to the franchise—and will add more on a continuous basis.
Street Fighter V is the latest entry in the Street Fighter fighting game franchise. The game contains new features, such as V-Reversal moves, and a special V-Trigger mode. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam) in the spring 2016 release window.
A beta test was supposed to launch on July 23, but CAPCOM closed the test early after server issues made the game inaccessible for many players. The company promised that there will still be three beta tests before the final launch, and started another beta test in August.
The game's initial release will be the only physical disc release that CAPCOM will make for the game. CAPCOM will make All Post-launch balance and system updates free, and all future playable character roster updates can be earned either through an in-game currency called Fight Money, or by purchasing special premium Zenny currency with real money to acquire them immediately.
