New Kotoura-san Manga Promotes Tourism in Kotoura Town

The official website for Kotoura Town in Tottori Prefecture, Japan published the first chapter of Enokids new Kotoura-san manga, Kotoura-san VERY-MACHI (Tottemo Kotoura-san), on Friday. Like the first series, Kotoura-san VERY-MACHI will run on Micro Magazine's website Manga Goccha ( Manga Got a Chance), but it will be available first via the Kotoura Town home page. The website will publish one new chapter a month.
The manga first collaborated with Kotoura Town to promote tourism in 2012 because the title character, Haruka Kotoura, was named after the town. The new manga series takes place in Kotoura Town.
Enokids' original manga ended with the seventh volume in April. The final volume announced the new series, at the time tentatively titled Kotarou-san Nichijō-hen (Katoraou-san Daily Life Chapter).
Kotoura-san follows Haruka Kotoura, a girl who suffered during her childhood because of her ability to read minds. When she starts high school she meets Manabe, her classmate who often thinks about erotic things, and joins a club of people who are not afraid of her ability. Her gloomy life starts to become enjoyable.
Digital Manga licensed the manga for North America. Crunchyroll streamed the anime adaptation as it aired in 2013, and NIS America released the series as The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura on August 4.
