Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the anime Danchigai as it airs in Japan. The stream will begin on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. EDT.
The stream will be available worldwide outside of Japan.
The anime reunites some of the core staff from the Military! television anime to adapt Kazusa Yoneda's four-panel manga. Hiroshi Kimura (Military!, Recorder and Randsell, Hamatora) is directing the series at Creators in Pack Tokyo. Eriko Itō (Hamatora, Ane Log) is designing the characters, and Dream Creation is producing the series. Masakatsu Oomuro (Military!, I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying) is directing sound production at Dax Production.
The comedy manga follows the everyday lives of five siblings—four sisters and one brother—who share a multi-unit apartment (danchi). Mutsuki has a level-headed personality. Haruki likes video games, while Yayoi likes exercise. Uzuki and Satsuki are twins.
Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream the anime School-Live! The stream premiered on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. EDT in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Europe (excluding Germany and German-speaking territories), the Middle East, and North Africa.
The School-Live! anime is based on Norimitsu Kaihō (Nitroplus) and Sadoru Chiba's Gakkō Gurashi! manga, which began in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2012.
The story of the manga revolves around girls who decide to stay over at school: the energetic Yuki Takeya (voiced by Inori Minase), the shovel-loving Kurumi (Ari Ozawa), spacey school adviser Megu (Ai Kayano), level-headed underclassman Mii-kun (Rie Takahashi), and Rii-san (M.A.O), who brings everyone together. However, through mysterious circumstances, the girls find themselves the final survivors in a zombie attack, and continue to live at the school.
Masaomi Andō (White Album 2) is directing the anime at Lerche (Assassination Classroom, Carnival Phantasm). Nitroplus is credited with producing the scripts. The original manga's writer, Norimitsu Kaihō (Gunslinger Stratos) is in charge of the series scripts, while Haruko Iizuka (Little Busters!, Tamayura) is designing the characters.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series.
Crunchyroll also announced that it is adding motion manga to its catalog for the following series:
- The Tenth Prism
- The Diary of Ochibi
- Shoku King
