Boruto -Naruto the Movie- Film's New Main Visual Drawn by Kishimoto Revealed

This year's 29th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday the new main visual for the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- film. Original manga creator Masashi Kishimoto drew the illustration.
The tagline on the main visual reads, "The curtain rises on the legend that will surpass all!!"
The issue is also providing more details on the film's story on Monday.
The image reads, "The 'will of fire' is already old!? A new story will be told about the next generation hero!! The 'ninja way' and the 'will of fire,' that way of thinking is already old!? Aiming to become a new type of shinobi, the efforts of the new hero Boruto!!" The image also quotes Boruto as saying "My father's era is wrong!!"
The image also describes Boruto and his relationships with Naruto, Sasuke, and Sarada. The description of Boruto reads "He is a prodigy who is blessed with the ability of a shinobi. He hates his father who is always working."
The image describes Naruto as "The seventh Hokage who manages the village. Everyday, he is super busy!" Additionally, the image states that Sasuke and Boruto are master and disciple, and that Boruto is training under Sasuke in order to surpass Naruto. Sarada and Boruto are described as comrades in arms, and Sarada is described as someone who has great respect for Naruto.
Yūko Sanpei is playing Boruto (pictured top left in image below) and Kokoro Kikuchi is playing Sarada (pictured top right). Junko Takeuchi is returning to play Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama is returning to play Sasuke Uchiha.
Original Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto is credited with the original story, script, and character designs, as well as the chief production supervisor, for the film. Hiroyuki Yamashita (Naruto Shippūden episode director, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie animation director) is directing the film, and Ukyō Kodachi (Chaos Dragon, Neppu Kairiku Bushi Road) is collaborating with Kishimoto on the script.
Weekly Shonen Jump describes the story of the new film as follows (Note: the below summary contains spoilers for those who have not finished reading the manga):
Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father's friend Sasuke, and requests to become... his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!
The film will open in Japanese theaters on August 7, and tickets will go on sale on June 27. Theatergoers will be able to choose one of two fans designed by Masashi Kishimoto as a special gift. The "Uzumaki Version" will feature Naruto and Boruto and the "Uchiha Version" will feature Sasuke and Sarada. The fans are limited to 100 thousand units.
