Ninja Theory unveiled details on Vergil's Bloody Palace, a new feature in DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition, on the official North American PlayStation Blog on Monday.
Vergil's Bloody Palace is a tournament mode where the player, as Vergil, must defeat enemies to ascend 60 floors. The original Bloody Palace, where players control Dante, has five difficulty levels, but Vergil's version only has three, ending with Vergil Must Die difficulty.
CAPCOM and Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry was first released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last year.
The port upgrades the original game and all the released downloadable content to 60 fps and 1080p resolution. It also adds two new skins, Devil May Cry 1 Dante and Classic Vergil; more gameplay modes; the Vergil Bloody Palace campaign; and a new cinematic cut-scene.
Ninja Theory and CAPCOM will release DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17. CAPCOM will release the game in retail and digital versions in Europe and North America for US$39.99/€39.99.
