posted on by Kyle Cardine
The official website for the Super Smash Brothers game for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U began streaming a promotional video announcing that Xenoblade Chronicles' Shulk will be a playable character in the upcoming fighting game.
Monolith Soft, the video game development company behind Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenosaga games, also created a promotional image for the game.
Xenoblade Chronicles debuted for the Nintendo Wii in Japan in 2010, Europe in 2011 and North America in 2012. Xenoblade Chronicles X, a "spiritual successor" to Xenoblade Chronicles, was announced in June and is slated for release in 2015.
Nintendo is also streaming a preview video for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
The game will ship for Nintendo 3DS on October 3 and for Wii U around the holiday season.
