Aogiri penned manga adaptation of 2012 mecha TV series
The preview for the June issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine is listing that the final chapter of Aogiri's Aquarion Evol manga adapting Shōji Kawamori and Satelight's television anime of the same name will end in the issue, which will ship on June 14.
Aquarion Evol takes place 12,000 years after the first Aquarion television series at a city modeled after Hong Kong. A new cast of characters, piloting a new Aquarion robot, fight enemies from another dimension.
The anime aired in Japan in 2012, and Funimation has licensed and released the series in North America. Aogiri began the manga in 2012, and Kadokawa will ship the fifth compiled volume in Japan on June 27.
