Pokémon XY Special: Strongest Mega Evolution's Promo Video Posted

April 3 special to feature Mega Absol, Mega Garchomp, Mega Charizard
The Pokémon Company began streaming a promotional video on Monday for the Pocket Monsters XY Tokubetsu Hen: Saikyō Mega Shinka ~Act I~ (Pokémon XY Special: Strongest Mega Evolution ~Act 1~) special that is slated to air on April 3 at 7:00 p.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
TV Tokyo describes the story as follows:
Mega Evolution. A new evolutionary form introduced in the Kalos Region. Is it really possible for all Pokémon to undergo Mega Evolution? This story revolves around a young trainer named Alan and his partner Lizadon (Charizard). Alan's objective on his journey is to "defeat all Mega Evolution Pokémon and stand at the top of the strongest summit." Along their journey Alan and Charizard meet and battle with Mega Absol and Mega Gaburias (Mega Garchomp). Additionally, Alan will battle with Zumi (Siebold), one of the Kalos Elite Four. Does Siebold also have a Mega Evolution Pokémon? Why is Alan so obsessed with Mega Evolution? And what is the real purpose of his journey?
The ongoing Pokémon XY television anime series normally airs on TV Tokyo in this 7:00 p.m. timeslot on Thursdays.
The series began airing on Cartoon Network in January.
