London Anime and Gaming Con This Weekend
posted on by Andrew Osmond
The London Anime and Gaming Con will take place on Saturday February 8 and Sunday February 9, with guests including the dub voice actress Colleen Clinkenbeard (pictured). Clinkenbeard has taken more than a hundred anime and videogame roles, including Luffy in One Piece, Hawkeye in the first Fullmetal Alchemist series, Erza Scarlett in Fairy Tail and Hana in The Wolf Children. She will be on a Q&A at 1pm on Saturday, and on an ADR Q&A at 4pm on Sunday.
The Anime side of the convention will take place at its normal venue at the Rocket Complex near Holloway Road Tube Station (directions). The Gaming events will be held in the building next door (the London Metropolitan University). There is an event timetable here.
Tickets will be available on the door: £13 for Saturday and £10 for Sunday. According to a press release from the event, "If you plan to only attend one day, we highly recommend to come along on the Sunday for the following reasons: A lot of our main events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Convention Speed-Dating, Cosplay Stars Q&A and The Clan Battle Finals are on Sunday. Our guest of honour, Colleen Clinkenbeard shall be doing free autograph signings Sunday only. Guaranteed entry on the door with very short queues (as most people have already been wristbanded up on the Saturday). It's just £10 for the entire day paying on the door."
