Tamayura/Kaleido Star's Sato Makes Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo Amazing Twins Anime

On Wednesday, production company and distributor Shochiku opened the full website for Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo Amazing Twins (Destructive Dangerous Foolish Girls - Amazing Twins), the latest anime by director Junichi Satō (Sailor Moon, Kaleido Star, Princess Tutu, Prétear, Sgt. Frog, Aria, Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~, Tamayura). It is Sato's first original action title in 10 years, and it will be an original video anime release from Encourage Films next year. Mari Okada (anohana, Hanasaku Iroha) is writing the scripts and collaborating on the story, while Takehito Harada (Disgaea) is working on his first original character designs for an anime project.
The website also revealed the profile for the heroine of the series:
Amane Todoroki is the heroine of the story. Her catchphrase is “Even if someone asks me, 'Can you really do that?,' I don't really know. But I want to believe! After all, nothing will start if I don't believe!” An honest and slightly stupid girl who plows straight through any situation at full force. She often makes quick assumptions, easily cries, and gets emotional at the smallest things.
This project was teased last week with a promotional video with the tagline, "An amazing new heroine”:
Posters of the first key visual (seen above) will be handed out in limited quantities at the Comic Market 84 (Comiket) event this weekend.
