posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The official website for the Monogatari Series Second Season anime began streaming the second promotional video for the anime adaptation of NisiOisin's Nekomonogatari (White) novel on Friday.
The promotional video features the anime's "Ai o Utae" (Sing of Love) ending theme song by Lune Haruna (Fate/Zero), and is narrated by Tsubasa Hanekawa (voiced by Yui Horie). Tsubasa Hanekawa says that she doubts that she can speak as well as Koyomi Araragi can, but she wants to try her best so she can convey her story. She says that her story shows that she is a normal human and a tiger, and that her story is one of betrayal.
Nisemonogatari director Akiyuki Shinbo is returning as the anime's general director, and Nisemonogatari series director Tomoyuki Itamura is directing at the studio SHAFT. Shinbo and Fuyashi Tou are in charge of the series scripts. Akio Watanabe is again serving as character designer and chief animation director. Satoru Kousaki will be composing the music. The cast from Nekomonogatari (Kuro)- including Yui Horie as Tsubasa Hanekawa and Hiroshi Kamiya as Koyomi Araragi- will be returning for Nekomonogatari (Shiro).
The Nekomonogatari (Shiro) anime takes place after the events of Nekomonogatari (Black), and continue to tell the story of Bakemonogatari hero Koyomi Araragi's spectacled classmate Tsubasa Hanekawa.
The anime will premiere in Japan on July 6 on various Japanese television stations. Web streaming of the episode is also planned.
