A-Channel's Kuroda Launches New Manga
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The June issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Dengeki Daioh magazine is revealing on Saturday that A Channel manga creator bb Kuroda will launch a new original manga in the magazine's August issue, which ships on June 27. The tagline for the announcement (pictured at right) reads "This girl will become emotionally attached to you." The new manga will also be featured on the cover of the August issue.
Kuroda's four-panel A Channel manga previously inspired a 12-episode television anime series from Studio Gokumi that ran from April to June 2011. Sentai Filmworks released that series on DVD in North America last year. The manga also inspired the two-episode A-Channel + smile video anime series last year.
A Channel revolves around the "cute and relaxed" everyday life of four high school girls: the flighty Run, the reckless Tōru, the timid Yūko, and the level-headed Nagi. Kuroda launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in 2008, and Houbunsha published the fourth compiled volume in February.
