Hori-san & Miyamura-kun School Manga Has Anime in the Works
posted on by Egan Loo
Manga creator HERO revealed on Monday that his web manga Hori-san to Miyamura-kun has an original video anime (OVA) in the works. HERO added that the OVA was actually green-lit two to three years ago, and details will be revealed in the future.
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is a four-panel school comedy manga that follows the "sweet-and-sour" adolescence of Kyōko Hori and Izumi Miyamura. Hori-san is the most popular girl at school, while Miyamura-kun is an introverted, eyeglasses-wearing boy.
HERO launched the manga on Square Enix's Gangan Online website in 2007, and Square Enix published the 10th compiled book volume last December. Artist Daisuke Hagiwara launched a spinoff manga called Hori-Miya in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine last year.
