Shoko Conami to End Shinobi Life Manga in March
posted on by Joseph First
Manga creator Shoko Conami confirmed that she will end her Shinobi Life manga in the April issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Princess magazine, which will ship in March. Furthermore, Conami revealed that she will be running a bonus spinoff story in the May issue, which will go on sale in April.
The story begins with Beni, a teenage girl who causes trouble in hopes of embarrassing her arrogant father. One day, she is rescued by Kagetora, a ninja who fell from the sky after time-travelling. Long ago, Kagetora pledged his loyalty to protecting Princess Beni — but he does not realize that this girl is a different Beni in a different era.
Conami launched the manga series in 2006, and Akita Shoten published the 12th compiled book volume last month. Tokyopop published seven volumes before shutting down its North American publishing operations.
