Rino Mizuho's horror manga begins Valentine's Day story in Ciao's February issue

Rino Mazuho will launch the Chocolat no Mahō ~Doraje Koibitotachi no Kiseki~ (The Magic of Chocolate ~Dragée Lovers' Miracle~) manga in the February issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine on December 28. Mazuho's original The Magic of Chocolate horror manga debuted in Ciao in 2009.

The new Chocolat no Mahō ~Doraje Koibitotachi no Kiseki~ manga will begin with a Valentine's Day theme. A girl named Sumire visits Chocolat Aikawa's chocolate shop the day before Valentine's Day to ask the chocolatière to grant her wish.

The first The Magic of Chocolate "bittersweet, mysterious story" also centers on Chocolat and her Chocolat Noir shop. If they give her something precious in exchange, Chocolat can grant wishes to the troubled people who come to her shop.

Mizuho has been drawing The Magic of Chocolate in Ciao and Ciao DX on an irregular schedule, and the first compiled volume shipped in July of 2009. The second volume, The Magic of Chocolate ~bittersweet~, shipped this past March. The third volume, The Magic of Chocolate ~creamy sugar~, is shipping this month, and its wraparound jacket band is announcing that an anime adaptation of the horror manga has been green-lit. An original anime video project based on the manga's story bundled with the April 2011 issue of Ciao.
