posted on by Egan Loo
Kadokawa Shoten announced via a display at this weekend's Chara Hobby 2011 event that the anime feature film Hana no Utame Gothicmade will open in Japanese theaters next spring. The anime's website also confirmed the spring theatrical release. The project marks the directorial debut of designer and manga creator Mamoru Nagano (Five Star Stories) and the 65th anniversary of Kadokawa's founding. Nagano also conceived, wrote, storyboarded, and animated the project. Gothicmade was first revealed in Kadokawa's Newtype magazine and the project's official website in 2006.
Shigeyo Kawamura and Nozomu Sasaki will star as the utame (song girl) Berin and the prince Toriharon, respectively.
