posted on by Andrew Osmond
Runs from September 6 to 10.
The Sadler's Wells website is streaming two videos to promote its forthcoming dance/media production TeZuKa, which is inspired by the works of the "God of Manga," Osamu Tezuka. The theatre in Islington, London will run five evening performances of TeZuKa from Tuesday September 6 to Saturday September 10.
Choreogragraphed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, the production draws particular inspiration from Tezuka's Astro Boy and Buddha. All the performances are at 7.30 p.m., and tickets cost between £10 and £32.
The first video shows Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui talking about Tezuka's work, and Cherkaoui's interpretation of it. The second video shows dancers in rehearsal for the production.
