Shueisha to Debut New Manga Magazine This Summer
posted on by Egan Loo
The third issue of Shueisha's Miracle Jump magazine is announcing on Friday that the publisher will debut a new manga magazine this summer. The concept of the new publication will be a "pure manga magazine" — one that is not pigeonholed to any age range or gender. More information will be available on May 26 through the web and other means.
Miracle Jump itself (no relation to the MiracleJumP boys-love bar) is a relaunch of the former Monthly Young Jump publication. Since January, this magazine has published science-fiction and fantasy stories with contributions by Sakurako Gokurakuin (Sekirei), Atsushi Nakayama (Traumeister), Tohru Fujisawa (GTO), Hiroya Oku (Gantz), Kazuki Funatsu (Addicted to Curry), Peach-Pit (Rozen Maiden), Nakaba Suzuki (Kongoh Bancho), Manta Aisora (Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san), and other creators every other month.
Other recent spinoff publications that Shueisha has released within the past year include Girls Jump (with an all-female creator lineup) and Aoharu.
