Discotek Media Adds Golgo 13 Anime Film

North American anime and film distributor Discotek Media announced on Monday via its Facebook page that it acquired the North American DVD rights to the 1983 animated feature film Golgo 13: The Professional. The release will include anamorphic 16:9 widescreen footage and both the original Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English-language dub.
Discotek Media confirmed with ANN that this DVD will have Streamline Pictures' English dub, directed by the late Carl Macek. The company also indicated that it will announce additional extra features for the release at a later date. Both Streamline Pictures and Urban Vision had previously released the film in North America.
Additionally, Discotek stated that its previously announced release of the live-action film Princess Blade, a reimagining of Kazuo Koike's manga Lady Snowblood, will be a two-disc special edition with 16:9 footage and an April 19 release date.
