Sentai Filmworks Adds Dream Eater Merry Anime

The North American anime licensee Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it acquired J.C. Staff's Dream Eater Merry (Yumekui Merry) television anime series. Sentai Filmworks has not specified how the anime will be released. The 12-episode television series, which adapts Yoshitaka Ushiki's manga of the same name, premiered in Japan on January 6.
The action fantasy revolves around a high school boy named Yumeji Fujiwara (Nobuhiko Okamoto ) who has the mysterious power to predict other people's dreams or nightmares. One day, he meets Merry (Ayane Sakura), a beautiful girl who came from the world of dreams.
Shigeyasu Yamauchi (Street Fighter Alpha, Boys Over Flowers) is directing the anime with scripts supervised and written by Hideki Shirane (Hayate the Combat Butler). Masahiro Fujii (Hayate the Combat Butler) designs the characters.
