Heartcatch Precure! Hana no Miyako de Fashion Show…Desu ka!?, the ninth film from the Pretty Cure/Precure magical girl franchise, dropped from #2 to #3 in its third weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it dropped from #3 to #4 and added US$1,162,487 on 163 screens to its total of US$7,732,421.
Umizaru: The Last Message, the third live-action film based on Shuho Sato's manga about the Japanese Coast Guard, stayed at #6 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it earned the equivalent of US$698,901 on 323 screens in its ninth weekend. It now has a total of US$96,560,340.
The Lady Shogun and Her Men, the live-action film adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga's Ōoku: The Inner Chambers manga, fell from #8 to #10 in its seventh weekend. It made US$323,436 on 302 screens for a gross-to-date of US$27,710,666.
The 3D film version of Eiko Kera's ATASHIn'CHI comedy manga opened at #13. It earned US$274,827 on 89 screens.
The live-action film adaptation of Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke romantic comedy manga is no longer listed on the box office charts.
